Description (English): important data about dzI/O and various philosophical insights that came out of it...
Getting straight to the point...
● since time immemorial he's been called dzI/O... I don't even have a clue which individual first named him that... he can't be clearly classified or put in a box... he's maximally complicated and simple and straightforward at the same time... he is what he is and he's probably not going to be anything else... sometimes he's a "saint" and sometimes the biggest sinner... he's the judge and the judged... he's the healer and also the one being healed... he's everything and he's nothing... he's a rebel and an obedient child... he's dust and to dust he shall return... he is information... he longs to be "naked", he's eternally "hungry", he'd "smoke" nonstop and who knows what else... just call him dzI/O... there's nothing else to it... only and simply dzI/O...
● when he was born, they wrote the name Maroš on his birth certificate, which is of Latin origin = maris (translation: man), and from a wise little book I gathered that he should be kind and willing, that he'll always help his friends, and that he's loyal and reliable... well, let me put it this way: don't trust wise little books, it'll spare you a lot of disappointment... like every person, he's had bright, brighter, darker and dark moments in his life, which shaped the way he affected those around him... like other people, he's experienced a lot of joy and happiness in life, but also a lot of sadness, disappointment and suffering, which shaped him into his current form... like every person, he's done a lot of nice and good things in life that made him happy, but also a huge number of mistakes, for which he's already paid, is paying, or will still pay... like every person, he's apparently not perfect either, and so he's not always able to live up to what's expected of him... if that bothers you, and if you can, please forgive him for being "only" human... very few people call him by his real name... for a long time he suffered because his name wasn't in the name-day calendar, just imagine a childhood without a name day... then they bumped him over to his brother's name day, so now the two of them ride in on a white horse together...
● he came into being in Trebišov, and for a long, long time lived in the heart of the far Slovak East (in Košice)... later he settled in the sub-Danube lowlands, specifically in Gabčíkovo, since our southern neighbors didn't want to build the dam over the Maroš, so he had to come instead... unofficial version: he was a secret agent sent to (as)similate the Hungarian majority... that didn't work out overall, though, because of the logs life tends to throw under a person's feet, so he lived and worked for 12 years in the capital of our beautiful Slovak homeland = in Bratislava... in the end he returned to his hometown - Trebišov...
● he was never a handyman around the house, I'll give that away right at the start, never fixed a leaky pipe with tools in hand at home... he never had fond memories of a saw or a hammer, when he wanted to hang a picture at home, it nearly cost him his life... when he timidly picks up a pair of pliers, don't get too excited about that sight, even he doesn't know what might happen, so you'd better run far away... thank you, mr.Lipa, I couldn't have put it better myself...
● during his years of compulsory schooling they used to call him a philosopher as an insult... well, explain that to me please... so let's think about it for a moment... is it enough for you if someone says something without being able to prove or justify why it's so? is it enough for you if someone states facts and information without saying on what basis they're considered correct and true? who can say that what is generally considered to be the true and correct thing actually has that quality? the problem of individual viewpoints that perceive reality creates the impression that everything is relative... and yet what we're after is the absolute... aren't we? each of our viewpoints is highly subjective, and it becomes more objective as we take more facts, information, knowledge, experience, options, viewpoints etc. into account... the level of understanding, knowledge and awareness of a person or of humankind limits what we currently consider authoritative and what the lay or academic public generally agrees on, or what we "currently" believe... but nobody ever said we have all the information needed to form a complete and final view on a given problem or system of how things work... just one example for all of this... realize that the earth used to be flat, it was also the center of the universe, and where are we today? in the solar system? in the galaxy? in 11 dimensions? who knows... well, we'll see, if we don't go blind first...
● he doesn't like violence... he thinks people should primarily use what grows in their head (yes, straw) based on the music they hear coming from their chest area (yes, house music)...
● he loves laughter and good spirits, cheerfulness and natural joy... he mostly managed to live by that, but then his friends started asking what he was on... as they say: life is easier with a smile... even though reasons to smile can sometimes be hard to find, he believes it's worth putting in maximum effort for it... it definitely pays off...
● when he grows up, he's going to captain steamships, or at least some smaller yacht... becoming a sailor is one of his most secret dreams...
● his dream car is the Clio... if he roared past you with 110 horses under the hood, you'd know what he's talking about... whoever's seen the commercial knows what he means = gedappaaaaaaa...
● every day he's a different... uhmmm... man...
● he used to be able to play the recorder, clarinet and saxophone, but that was a very long time ago... he was also told he has a good ear for music - you'll see in the star squad... his newest goal is to dust off the past glory of his wild musical career, after all, the majorettes could tell a story or two...
● he's decided to found a futuristic-demonic rap group: Crazy Horse and his even more spooked cowboy... with it he'll literally control the masses... they'll go wild... he'll become a celebrity and all the teenage girls will literally lose it the moment they so much as spot him around Bratislava...
● for a long time (in Košice) he lived in the house of the pigeons... to clarify, pigeons used to live there, then he caught them, made soup, ate it, and that's how he took the place over... during that process there were negotiation talks with the squatters in question... which meant he had to learn their language... and to this day he sometimes coos to himself, coo, coo...
● he thinks that when a person judges things by their packaging, they're depriving themselves of a lot of quality content... but hey, it's everyone's free choice, and packaging sells, they say... quick, to the supermarket...
● one should "fornicate" only out of love... although, we'll all end up in one bed eventually anyway... so what do you do about that? quite the dilemma...
● is there something after death? hard to say... he thinks a person should approach life in such a way that it doesn't matter what happens after death... whether we end up in the ground or continue our journey onward... try not to hurt others, enjoy this place as much as possible, learn and play...
● in his view, the people who express themselves and behave toward those around them in a way that rubs us the wrong way are the ones who need the most love from those around them... he believes love can help such a person the most... after all, these might be people who've never known love, or who have some problem, and that's what shapes how they act... and how can we expect people who've never known love, or who for some reason have trouble showing it, to show it themselves? those who've never known it, we should give them the chance to get to know it, by giving it to them... those who have some problem are best helped by love too, since it helps a person fight and overcome their problem most effectively... now all that's left is choosing the right form of love... and which of its faces is the best one at any given moment? well, that's a deep philosophical question...
● he identified a big problem with willpower in himself... he couldn't find it no matter what... they told him: find the little seed and let it grow... so I ask you... which garden center sells that?
● laziness used to be his favorite trait, but he no longer has time for it these days... so now it's schizophrenia... for instance, a romantic and a realist quite often duke it out inside him, along with at least a thousand other personalities... well, what can I say, probably like in every person... never mind, the battle's over -> only dzI/O remains...
● he used to speak in riddles and imagery sometimes, and loves double meanings... sometimes he himself doesn't even know what he meant by something... he only figures it out later through deep analysis and endless pondering... believe him, it's awful when someone can't even sleep because of it... but he's realized that things are best explained with a simple example that even a small child can understand...
● he realized that many misunderstandings arise from failing to grasp the other person's point of view... it's hard, even impossible, to judge what someone is talking about if we have no experience with the thing itself... it's even worse when our experience doesn't match that other person's experience... and that happens often... then a conflict arises, where the parties involved defend their own viewpoints... so the priority should be to first clarify our viewpoints (definitions) of what we're talking about, before we even start resolving anything... it's very important to be able to tell the difference between a prejudice and a fact... that's the first thing we need to learn...
● there were times when he loved his neighbor more than himself, but in doing so he neglected himself... he worked on himself and learned to think about himself too, and about his own needs, desires, dreams and goals... because that matters too, and now he's looking for a balance between how he loves himself and how he loves those around him...
● in his view, it's not the smartest thing to rely on luck for happiness... we should rather rely on ourselves, our own abilities and talents, because luck is like the lottery... we can believe, sure, but the odds of winning are tiny, because it's a collective game with many players and everyone believes and hopes they'll win... on the other hand, if a person knows what they want, believes in themselves and tries hard enough, a way to achieve success and fulfill their life goals should always be findable... I'm not saying the way is easy, but what would be the point otherwise? without effort? without being moved? who would then value a goal reached and be happy about having reached it? success goes hand in hand with one's own emotional fulfillment, and happiness comes with every fulfillment...
● he believes that both positive and negative traits exist in every person, and it's up to each of us which ones we choose to favor...
● the vast majority of people he's known so far (himself included) wear a mask... they seem complicated because they perfectly hide (sometimes without even knowing it themselves) what's really inside them... "Today, 20.8.2006, I successfully got rid of my mask"... he's said that so many times already, and every day life surprises him with something new... "Today, 22.8.2006, I understood everything there was for me to understand"... "And today, 23.8.2006, that's already not true again"... do you get what he's saying? a person has to fight the dark side of the force their whole life... Obi-Wan Kenobi or Master Yoda could tell you all about how long they lectured young Luke Skywalker to finally stop doing stupid things and grow up...
● you're all bumblebees, he's a propeller-driven, motorized crop-duster plane... vrooooom...
● let those without sin cast the first stone at him... OUCH, I didn't say the forehead, one of the two most essential spots on his body... well, guess which other "organ" he'd never want to lose in his life?
● he always fought against social rules, conventions and customs, but he no longer has a reason to... maybe he's realized they might have some meaning after all, under certain conditions... he just doesn't dare get specific about it yet... it needs a proper analysis first...
● he set fashion trends... years ago he already walked around in worn-out, dirty, ripped jeans... everyone looked at him like he was crazy... everyone was baffled by him, and well, look at fashion today... now everyone walks around like that and doesn't see a problem with it... people even pay serious money to look like they just walked out of a quarry... now he's trying to understand the logic (the algorithm) of good taste and how to dress nicely so he doesn't cause outrage, but rather the opposite = looks decent...
● he conducts various sociological and psychological studies for private purposes (journeys into the human soul and mind)... he does it publicly... he's trying to understand how people (and thus also women) think... do you think he's tilting at windmills? unanimous YES!
● like every other person, he's an analyst too... the moment he became aware of and discovered his potential, he decided to become a psycho-analyst... he tries to see into people and things, and let's say it works out pretty well for him... he sees a lot of things, a lot of them positive, but also some he doesn't like... he looks for patterns, similarities and behavioral patterns... he searches, examines and observes... sometimes he connects things, sometimes he separates them... sometimes he asks, sometimes he answers... he looks for connections so intensely that he sometimes short-circuits when he stumbles onto something earth-shattering... and then he tends to need a good long while to process it...
● he tried to keep a cool head and a neutral attitude... except for those moments when he was in love, when he'd float around and lose all sense of reality, but he'd already managed to get rid of that... unfortunately, today, 21.8.2006, he realized that last remark was self-deception... but that's not the point... the point is he doesn't even want to get rid of it, since he (doesn't) see anything wrong with a person floating around when they feel good... so what's he supposed to do when he feels bad, then? bury himself underground... so as not to affect others and pass his malice onto innocent people...
● he likes it in people when they try to think objectively, think in timeless terms, judge situations from a long-term perspective, approach life with perspective... it's a superhuman task and mostly impossible anyway, since every person's view and understanding of the world is shaped by their consciousness, subconsciousness, unconsciousness, knowledge, beliefs, and who knows what else... but they can still try, right? no harm in trying...
● he's convinced that even all the negative things that ever happened to him in life brought him great benefit... not because he's some kind of sado-masochist... but because if a person wants to, has the appetite, the strength, or the will to reflect, learn and become aware, it's precisely from such negative experiences that the most can be gained... and if a person learns to draw from them, they become more resilient, which means they'll be able to overcome future problems more easily on one hand, and will develop and grow as a person on the other... and on the third hand... if a person were only happy (if they were only in the positive sector), maybe they wouldn't even recognize it as such... if they didn't also know the shadow side of life, would they be able to enjoy those bright moments? and who knows = such a one-note life might turn out to be far too boring... life is a struggle, and as they say: what doesn't "kill" you makes you stronger (of course, if you want it to), and that is what the poet meant to say...
● he knows a person who claims they have no luck with happiness... that life paradox is worth thinking about...
● in his youth he suffered from kleptomania, but after a professional and almost entirely non-violent intervention by his parents, it got sorted out... good thing there was no helpline back then... he could've ended up an orphan... but now, looking back, he's grateful to them for it... thank you, thank you, thank you, to the director, the sound guy, the screenwriter, the actors, the whole crew, and of course the audience...
● according to the latest findings, he's a perfectionist suffering from a disease called procrastination, and he's also occasionally called a workaholic... well, he's realized that nothing should (not) be overdone, and life isn't just about work... work should fulfill us, be enjoyable, and of course should be a means that helps us survive and enjoy something along the way too...
● he's a proponent of the theory of organized chaos and used to be a big believer in Murphy's Law... he proved its validity at every turn... but he's since abandoned the worship of Murphy... the guy was clearly a prankster and a saboteur... almost everything has its own logic, and there might be something behind it all too - above us, below us, beside us, and within us...
● he's planning to create and later publish a collection of poems called #Romance with life... in the future he'd also like to work on a book about his experiences, his view of the world, and the immortality of the beetle... he's finally (hopefully) found within himself the ability to find the right words to say what he wants to say in a way that those around him will understand... unless he hasn't, of course... this whole thing could end in a total fiasco too... there are always at least 2 possibilities... and keep in mind that he used to hate poems with his whole soul... he always suffered whenever he had to write an essay or a school assignment for Slovak class... a person simply develops with every passing moment, that is, assuming they actually want to... the people around someone who try to force a change of personality on them (verbally or non-verbally) usually don't succeed, because everyone's got their own head... he even thinks it can trigger the opposite effect... the people around someone can at most contribute to their self-awareness and self-reflection, but the impulse for change has to come from the person themselves... still: the greatest influence a person has is over themselves alone... so don't wish for the world to change... first of all, try to change yourself... that way the world will change (or rather, your view of it), and you'll also see a way to help others...
● in people, he greatly values finding at least a pinch of intelligence and good old common sense... and if there's logical thinking there too, he practically overflows with joy... anyway, do you know this one? the optimist believes things will turn out fine, the pessimist worries that might actually be true... and another one: the pessimist sees darkness in the tunnel, the optimist sees light at the end of the tunnel, the realist already sees the train, and the train driver sees three idiots standing on the tracks...
● he used to search for all the bad traits he had that somehow disgusted him about himself... he tried to do something about it too... because he'd somehow talked himself into believing it was important... it's just not as simple as it seems at first glance... and even though he has at least a million flaws (the ones he knows about - the ones he doesn't know about are far more numerous), and he decided he'd become a better person, he now knows he'll never (not) manage it... but hey, the effort counts, doesn't it? he's got the rest of his life for it... and even if he managed to change just one negative trait about himself, he'd be happy, because he'd have achieved what he set out to do a long time ago...
● people sometimes considered him an optimist extremist... he was the one who preferred to see the glass as half full rather than half empty, because his optimism didn't just help him, it also affected those around him, and shaped and influenced them in a way that was maybe imperceptible but essential to him... he believes everyone would want to see brighter tomorrows... most of us humans want the good thing even if we might act otherwise on the outside, and say and do the opposite of what we think or want... well, that's just how it is... rules are rules... but then again, rules exist to be broken, don't they? that's why we should devote our maximum effort in life to learning how to be happy, how to show joy, how to express love, how to shed exaggerated worries, and other useful things... isn't that what we're here for after all? or is it?
● maybe (though it's highly unlikely ;) he'll become a wandering preacher one day and show people the right path, that is, His own... in my opinion he won't win anyone over to it, but at the very least people will be entertained by him... but you know how it goes, laughter is often followed by tears... so in time the little people will understand His message, and the reward for his merits will fall from "heaven"... he's looking forward to living off herbs, "roots", "berries" and "mushrooms", or other "forest fruits"...
● he believes the youth carries the morning within it, and so it needs to be shaped from a young age so it doesn't go feral, as can be seen at every turn these days... I mean, just look at what he grew up to become...
● if you look at any newspaper headline, TV news, radio news, or just people talking, any information you take in, you'll find a certain similarity (pattern) that keeps repeating everywhere, all the time... in his view, that's negativity... don't you think there's been enough of it already? and are we really supposed to believe people want this kind of negative news? that positive news would hurt the ratings? well, neither he nor I really understand that...
● the basic understanding underlying many problems in any discussion or friction is the problem of each of our individual viewpoints on the question being discussed... every person has their own unique path that brought them to this particular moment in time... that includes their experiences, knowledge, prejudices, etc... which determines what they're able to see, understand, and able to believe in... the point is, if a person isn't willing to broaden their horizons and strictly sees and pushes only what they themselves want to see, that's a fairly big problem... a person should first and foremost be open to new ideas, thoughts, or other people's viewpoints... not in order to accept them word for word, but to be able to weigh them, think them over, and adjust their own mosaic accordingly... if you hand someone a puzzle piece that simply doesn't fit into their picture, they'll defend against it tooth and nail... there are people who can defend their fortress so endlessly that they build moats, catapults, and use all sorts of weapons just so that their stance, their view and their castle don't get torn down... but that's natural, nobody (doesn't) want someone interfering in their "world"... destroying it, breaking down the system of certainties their world is built on... this applies to every one of us... which is why it's so hard to explain to someone who hasn't walked your path (and there's no one else like that - only you), everything you arrived at along that path... even if it were the most earth-shattering experience or piece of knowledge one could ever come by... but as they say, there's no such thing as failure... only insufficient effort... so what do we do about that? are we not trying hard enough?
● His Dad and Mom told him many things... the funny thing is they kept repeating them until they'd hammered them into his head, and now wherever he goes, he repeats them right back after them... the apple simply didn't fall far from the tree... a fitting example: whoever doesn't listen to father and mother falls into ruin...
● imagine how awful it is to lose a loved one... he lost two in the span of one single night... the first one he'd never seen in his life and he'll (n)ever see him now... he never knew him and won't get the chance to either... the second one he knew better, but for some reason he wasn't the one, the true one, and forever, for her... believe me, it hit him pretty hard... he cursed God out... called out his misplaced sense of humor and irony... he knows, he wronged him, but that's how it goes, when a person gets upset, it's always the innocent who pay for it... he shed a few tears and mourned a little... he wore black for 3 days to pay his respects to those two remarkable people... to show his feelings, his disagreement, even his anger at how things had gone... he's simply a sensitive little soul... well, what can you do... life goes on and will keep going on, even assuming tractors start falling from the sky...
● when nothing's (not) going right for you, when nothing's (not) working out anymore, sit down on the curb, it'll pass...
HE SEARCHES FOR WHAT'S IN OTHER PEOPLE, TO REVEAL WHETHER IT'S HIDING IN HIM TOO! BECAUSE WELL, WHAT IF 😉
HE USED TO BE THE ONE WHO HAD EVERYTHING AND AT THE SAME TIME (DIDN'T) HAVE NOTHING. THAT'S THE BEST WAY TO BE, BECAUSE YOU'RE RICH AND NO ONE CAN ROB YOU - YOU GIVE IT AWAY YOURSELF 😉
THE MORE HE KNEW, THE LESS HE UNDERSTOOD. HE TRIED TOO HARD TO UNDERSTAND THINGS THAT COULDN'T BE UNDERSTOOD. WHAT WAS, WAS. ONE DAY HE SAID TO HIMSELF: ENOUGH!. AND SUDDENLY EVERYTHING BECAME CLEAR TO HIM. AT LEAST FOR A MOMENT 😉
IT'S NO JOKE TO DRINK WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE IT 😉
AT LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I think it's important every once in a while to take the trash out for your other half 😉
